Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Hassel handles personal data when you visit our website, use the Hassel property management platform, contact us, or communicate with us through connected channels.

1. Who we are and who this policy covers
Hassel ("we", "us", or "our") provides a property management platform for property owners and managers, with related tenant services. This policy covers information handled through our website, platform, contact forms, support channels, and enabled messaging features.
When a property manager or owner enters tenant, lease, payment, or property information into Hassel, that customer determines why the information is used. They are responsible for providing any required notices and permissions to the people concerned. Hassel handles that information to provide the service and under the customer's instructions where applicable.
2. Personal data we handle
Depending on how you use Hassel, this may include:
- Account and contact details, such as name, email address, phone number, and account credentials.
- Property-management records entered by customers, such as tenant and owner details, unit and property information, leases, payment and invoice records, maintenance requests, and related files.
- Messages and information you provide in contact forms, support requests, WhatsApp conversations, or the platform's assistant features.
- Basic technical and usage information needed to operate and protect the service, including website analytics and security or audit logs.
3. Why we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- Create and secure accounts and provide the platform's property, lease, payment, maintenance, and tenant-portal features.
- Send service messages and notifications requested or configured by account users, including email and, where enabled, WhatsApp messages.
- Respond to inquiries, provide support, and manage our relationship with customers.
- Maintain service reliability, diagnose issues, prevent misuse, and keep appropriate operational and audit records.
- Understand website usage through analytics and improve the service.
4. Legal grounds for processing
We handle personal data for the purposes described above on a lawful basis permitted by applicable law. Depending on the context, this may include providing a service or taking steps requested before an agreement, meeting legal obligations, a valid consent, or another lawful basis. Where a customer controls tenant or property records, that customer is responsible for establishing the applicable basis for entering and using those records in Hassel.
5. When information is shared
We do not make personal data available for sale. We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that help us operate Hassel, such as hosting and database services, file storage, email delivery, website analytics, WhatsApp/Meta messaging, and assistant or AI services when those features are enabled. These providers process information to support the relevant service.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect the rights and security of users and Hassel, or as part of a business reorganization in accordance with applicable law.
6. International processing
Some service providers may process information in countries other than Saudi Arabia. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we will handle the transfer in accordance with applicable Saudi data-protection requirements.
7. Retention and security
We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the service, resolve issues, and meet applicable legal or contractual requirements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the circumstances. Requests to delete data may be subject to information we must retain under applicable law or for legitimate service and security needs.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and contact us promptly if you believe an account or information has been compromised.
8. Cookies and analytics
Hassel uses a language preference cookie to remember whether you selected English or Arabic. The platform also uses authentication cookies needed to keep users signed in. We use Vercel Analytics to understand website usage and performance. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings; some platform features may not work correctly if essential cookies are blocked.
9. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and its conditions, you may have the right to be informed about processing, access or obtain a copy of your personal data, request correction or completion, request destruction where permitted, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Some rights have legal exceptions.
If your information was entered into Hassel by a property owner or manager, please contact them first to exercise rights relating to that property-management record. You can also contact us and we will help route your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Children
Hassel is a business property-management service and is not designed for children to use directly. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us directly, please contact us so we can review the situation.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. We will publish the current version on this page and update the date above. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at info@hassel.website.
